Lovingly remembered by his family, friends and the many communities he supported, we celebrate John's life and the impact he had on us all.
John was a dedicated husband and father. He was a grandfather for whom mischief and laughter were never far away. And for so many John was a steadfast friend, a constant source of advice and support.
John loved life and followed his passions until the end. Many will remember John's larger than life, outgoing character but in his heart John was a quiet man for whom humility and service were essential. John served the Birmingham Buddhist community for decades, and he will be remembered for his work with the Faith Leaders to foster inter-faith relationships, promoting tolerance, understanding and compassion for all people.
To those close to him, we'll miss his irreverent sense of humour, his wonderful cooking, his terrible driving, his seemingly never ending expertise in all things, his boundless capacity for conversation, and his natural ability and endless desire to engage with everyone.
